After experiencing the broken job search system several times, I knew there had to be a better way to get a job I actually wanted to do at a company I actually wanted to work for.
This is not your standard “Interview Tips and Tricks” site.
I developed Couch to Career to provide jobseekers with the tools, experienced advice, and action plans needed to do what other cliche job sites lack: a clear set of step by step solutions to get you noticed by the right people at the company you want to work for.
Our Story
Straight out of college I thought starting my career would be a piece of cake. I did what all my professors and peers told me to do; submit my resume to well known online job boards, hit “apply now” to as many job openings as possible, and watch the job offers flow into my inbox.
As you have probably experienced with your own job search, this is not as easy as I had hoped. After several months of applying and receiving more than 100 automated rejection emails, I found myself in a slump, sleeping in till noon, wasting time watching netflix and scrolling aimlessly through Facebook. Anything to keep me from facing reality and dreading another day of the same old broken job search machine.
I knew something had to change.
